BlueScout OCS-210
The BlueScout OCS-210 is pioneering the next generation control system for utility-scale wind turbines. From its position on top of the nacelle, it measures wind speed and direction in the approaching free-stream inflow and employs advanced control architectures to increase energy production and reduce harmful effects of wind turbulence on wind turbines. The system optimizes wind turbine performance using a predictive, multidimensional view of approaching wind conditions, enabling turbine preparedness for increased energy output and reduced stress loads to key components.
Intelligent Controls Result in Higher Efficiency and Reduced Maintenance
By delivering, in advance, a more precise picture of the imminent wind speed and direction, the BlueScout OCS-210 enables wind turbine preparedness and optimization for improved operational efficiency.
Measuring the wind in front of the turbine ensures data accuracy and enables the proactive determination of timing and degree for yaw adjustments. Staying aligned with the wind significantly increases power output and dramatically reduces turbine stress.
With the accurate predictive data delivered by the BlueScout OCS-210, the control system can work smarter to increase efficiency, improve blade alignment, make better pitch decisions and reduce overall system stress, which will extend turbine life and cut maintenance costs.
